Happy Jackal Hotel - Colchester

Great location with convenient on-site parking.

The units are huge, fairly quiet.

The unit was a nice size.

The room was spacious, and we had a delightful view of lake. The bed was comfy and there was free Wi-Fi. The location of the hotel was top - within a close distance from an expansive public park...

The location here was really convenient - we could easily walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We had a choice to stay either in the main building or in a cozy cottage in the garden. the staff and owner were super nice and friendly. Our room was lovely with beautiful views of the river. 🌿.

The hotel's location was amazing and incredible, right by river and huge sand dunes and Addo Elephant Park, Next to Addo park with very friendly staff, and wonderful beaches. Furthermore, in the main building or in a stand alone cottage in the garden. We booked house with excellant large bed and great view, for instance. There were a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and a fridge upon arrival.

Had an amazing 1 night-stay from the moment I checked-in. I was upgraded to a spacious and nicely furnished room with a great view. - the location couldn't be more particularly good and fantastic to get to the national parks.

Greatly enjoyed sensational breakfasts.

Location: the hotel was short walk to river and huge sand dunes and Addo Elephant Park, the park with Shaun and the safari from the B & B. Also, it was 10 minutes drive to Mathyolweni Gate.

The pool area was nice, and the location was perfect next to the riverside. the excellent English breakfast included homemade bread jam. the standard room had an excellent large bed with wonderful views and an outside balcony. Friendly services were available.

The staff here are really nice and provide top-notch service, especially Suzette and her team. the hotel's location on the river bank is simply stunning. 🌟

We got great value for our money at the Happy Jackal! The room wasvery comfy and tidy, with a lovely view of the river. The location was perfect for visiting Addo Elephant Park, and the staff treated us like family.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with a faster hot water supply for the shower.

The location of Happy Jackal Guest House was perfect, just a few minutes drive from the southern entrance of the park. The owners, Liz and Peter, were incredibly helpful in planning our game drives and safari activities. They even arranged a guided game drive for us, which was an unforgettable experience for the whole family. We were able to see elephants, lions, and rhinos up close, and our children were in awe of the wildlife. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with a beautiful room leading out onto the riverbank. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast, especially the fresh homemade bread and jams. We would definitely recommend Happy Jackal for families looking for a memorable safari experience.

For families with younger children, it would be great to have some additional activities or a play area on the property.

the location of the hotel was absolutely perfect and excellent - really close to Addo Elephant Park and the N2. the safari from the B & B was very convenient. 3. Mathyolweni Gate was just 3 km away.

Very comfortable, excellent breakfast with homemade jams, ideal location for Addo NP, attentive hosts, excellent homemade bread and jams.

Can't fault anything about it.
